Every Roof Tells a Different Engineering Story

Some projects are about squeezing maximum yield from a small, shaded rooftop. Others are about installing hundreds of panels on a working factory without stopping production. Here is a cross-section of the challenges we solve.

Ground-mounted solar panels on green grass

Ground mount

Open-field array with fixed tilt

Galvanised steel frames, string inverters and a fenced, drained site layout designed for easy cleaning access.

Aerial view of solar panel rows on farmland

Agricultural

Rows between cultivated land

Row spacing calculated to avoid inter-row shading while leaving access lanes for maintenance vehicles.

Row of solar panels on a flat roof

Commercial

Flat-roof office installation

Ballasted mounting avoided drilling through a waterproofed roof slab.

Completed rooftop solar installation

Residential

Rooftop system with tidy cabling

A hybrid-ready inverter leaves room for battery storage next year.

Rooftop solar panels at golden hour

Commercial

Rooftop array at golden hour

Rail-clamp mounting on profiled sheet with full remote monitoring.

Solar panels covering a large barn roof

Agricultural

Barn roof conversion

A storage barn roof turned into a productive array that powers pumps and cold rooms.

Large family house with solar panels on the roof

Residential

Family home with full-roof coverage

Panels across two roof faces with optimisers to manage morning and afternoon shade.

Lessons from the field

What Our Projects Have Taught Us

Shade is the silent killer

A single chimney shadow can drag down a whole string. We model shade hour-by-hour and use optimisers or separate MPPTs where needed.

Wind load is not optional

Mounting is designed for storm wind speeds, with ballast or anchor calculations documented for every roof.

Heat reduces output

We leave air gaps under panels and keep inverters shaded and ventilated to limit temperature losses.
